Five local endurance athletes recount this America West mining tale and their five-day expedition to honor their memory. The Grosh Brothers Expedition team includes Bob Crowley, Jennifer Hemmen, Elke Reimer, Tim Twietmeyer, and new Expedition member, Hal Hall. A portion of the proceeds will support the publication of Second Sunrise, a book commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Western States Endurance Run by John Trent, an 11-time Western States finisher and talented writer.

From the elite athletes’ experience through to the back of the pack runners, you’ll live the good, the bad and the painful. Because it’s more than just tracks and trails, roads and ultras; these are films that will inspire us all to put on our sneakers and pound the pavement.
Electrifying violinist/composer Tom Rigney joins forces with some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco music scene to form Tom Rigney and Flambeau. Showcasing Rigney’s fiery, virtuoso fiddling, the band has forged a unique sound that blends Cajun, Boogie Woogie, Jazz and irresistible grooves into a hot, tasty musical gumbo.

Cantabile Chamber Singers was formed by people who love choral music, whose mission is to help neighbors in need. Led by founder and conductor Yeong Bin Cho, with the belief that “Voices touch your heart and soul,” this 30-member Korean chorus raises money for great causes with their free performances.
The Singers’ May 7th concert at Auburn State Theatre is a fundraiser for Ukraine women and children refugees through Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund (www.globalgiving.org). The program will feature Sacred Songs, Classic Pops – such as “Bohemian Rhapsody” (Queen), “Hey Jude” (The Beatles) and “Dancing Queen” (ABBA) – and “Korean Arts & Folk Songs.” The Singers will be accompanied by Jinsil Lee on a magnificent Steinway Concert Grand Piano.
State Theatre Acting Company (STAC) celebrates their seventh anniversary with a cavalcade of music and dance numbers from your favorite STAC hit shows. Cast members will perform show-stopping spectaculars from The Music Man, Sister Act, Annie, Young Frankenstein, Mamma Mia!, The Drowsy Chaperone, and their recent smash hit, Shrek the Musical! To add to the fun, the audience will be invited to sing along!
