Electrifying violinist/composer Tom Rigney joins forces with some of the finest musicians on the San Francisco music scene to form Tom Rigney and Flambeau. Showcasing Rigney’s fiery, virtuoso fiddling, the band has forged a unique sound that blends Cajun, Boogie Woogie, Jazz and irresistible grooves into a hot, tasty musical gumbo.
Rigney’s band of all-stars simmers and cooks with musical intelligence. Specializing in Blazin’ Cajun and Zydeco two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans grooves, Boogie Woogie piano, and heart-breakingly beautiful ballads and waltzes, they generate enough heat and energy to ignite a dance floor and lift an audience to its feet!
Boogie queen Caroline Dahl on piano, Sam Rocha on bass, and Brent Rapone on drums, and renowned guitarists Marc Brinitzer and Anthony Paule are veterans of the great bands of Boz Scaggs, Queen Ida, and Clifton Chenier.
