March Restoration Update
As March arrives, and we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we’re reminded that while a little luck never hurts, the real magic behind the restoration of the Auburn State Theatre is you – our community.
Spring is just around the corner. The days are getting longer, the light is changing, and there’s a renewed sense of possibility in the air. That same feeling is present inside this restoration project.
Progress Behind the Scenes
Following our successful submission of our Construction Drawings to the City of Auburn, we continue working closely with our architects, engineers, and city partners to move through the review process. This phase requires patience and precision, but it is a critical step towards obtaining our building permit and moving forward.
While it may seem quiet from the outside, there is meaningful progress happening every week – refining details, answering technical questions, and ensuring that when construction begins, we are fully prepared to restore the Theatre safely, beautifully, and sustainably for generations to come.
When the doors reopen, the restored Auburn State Theatre will once again be:
- A gathering place for shared stories
- A stage for creativity and performance
- A cornerstone of downtown Auburn
- A space where memories are made across generations
Your continued support is what moves this work forward. Every gift, every encouraging word, every conversation about the Theatre helps build momentum.
Thank you for being the heart behind this effort. With your partnership, we’re not relying on luck – we’re building something lasting.
Wishing you a joyful St. Patrick’s Day and the promise of a bright spring ahead.
With gratitude,
Colleen M. Carberry Sands
Executive Director
