As Auburn State Theatre’s work of restoring the auditorium continues, it has become apparent that the time frame needed to complete the updated scope of repair work has increased. At this time the temporary closure of the Theatre will be extended through December 2023.
The lengthened closure of the auditorium does not affect AST’s on-site offices or other businesses in the multi-use complex. In addition, the exterior building roof is intact and did not sustain damage.
And the show will go on! While the Theatre Restoration Project is ongoing, AST is partnering with Odd Fellows Lodge # 7 to offer film events to the community. Please see details below.
We’ve also partnered with Crooked Lane Brewing Company for a special film event, the Coen Brothers’ cult classic The Big Lebowski on Friday, September 29. We invite you to come in costume as your favorite character from the film and enjoy an evening of outdoor cinema!
State Theatre Acting Company (STAC) will present their popular Golden Age Radio shows at First Congregational Church of Auburn on Saturdays July 15 and August 19. These shows are free to all and donations are graciously accepted.
Event information and Tickets are available below and at the door before each film. Thank you for supporting Auburn State Theatre by attending these events!
Thank you to all Auburn State Theatre patrons, volunteers, performers, staff, tenants, and the community for your outpouring of support. AST will continue to provide updates to the community of the progress, and we look forward to seeing you again at The State.
Auburn State Theatre is committed to returning with entertainment for all! We will be back better than ever!
