Theatre Restoration Update – November 2025
On Stage & On Screen
The Auburn State Theatre continues to welcome guests thanks to generous neighbors and community sponsors! The past few weeks we’ve honored passed loved ones with those who attended our Día de los Muertos Festival at the New Auburn Cemetery. We danced the night away with nearly 200 in attendance at our Costume Party concert with Antsy McClain and his Trailer Park Troubadours at Auburn’s Odd Fellows Lodge #7! This month is no different; we can’t wait to see you at one of the upcoming films and our STAC Live Radio Show!
Our Talented State Theatre Acting Company (STAC) presents It’s A Wonderful Life: Live Radio Play at First Congregational Church of Auburn. Bring the whole family to enjoy this wonderful retelling of a Holiday Classic on December 12th at 7:30 PM & December 13th at 2:00 PM & 7:30 PM
Our Four-Phase Plan
To reopen as quickly as possible, the project has been divided into four phases, each focused on delivering safe, accessible, and high-quality improvements.
Phase I – “Back of House” additional structure behind stage to include green room, dressing rooms, bathrooms, elevator, mechanical room, and storage. New access to the stage from behind the stage will be created. Load-in of equipment, cast, crew, and performers will no longer have to come through the front doors of the theatre.
Phase II – Auditorium, 2nd floor projection booth and mezzanine infrastructure.
Phase III – Lobby, bathrooms, concessions, updated stairs, and access from street.
Phase IV – Completion of 2nd floor including mezzanine, bathrooms, concessions, event space.
Year-End Giving
Your support through attending events and giving are integral to our mission of keeping the Arts alive in Auburn. As we look towards the new year, we remain grateful for the community’s continuing generosity through time, resources, and charitable contributions will help continue AST’s thriving legacy.
Many Thanks to our generous community partners for hosting events while the Theatre is under reconstruction
