Woman in Motion

Sponsored by Mike Holmes

An inspiring documentary about the life and influence of Nichelle Nichols and her daunting task to launch a national blitz for NASA, recruiting 8,000 of the nation's best and brightest, including the trailblazing astronauts who became the first Black, Asian and Latino men and women to fly in space.  The film covers Nichols's work as a recruiter for NASA for their start of the "Space Shuttle Program" that would last from 1981-2011. Prior to her work, NASA had no women or people of color in their pilot classes or programs.
