We’re excited to share the latest progress on the restoration of our beloved Theatre! Significant strides have been made, including the completion of truss repairs and seismic updates, both of which are critical to ensuring the safety and longevity of the building. Currently, we're focused on inspecting the building’s footings by excavating portions of the breezeway and other areas to assess their condition.
Our current goal is to make the Theatre suitable for temporary occupancy as we aim to bring back performances to the auditorium. It’s thrilling to imagine the day we can once again enjoy shows together in this special space. As we explore and restore, we’re uncovering some fascinating treasures from decades past, offering a glimpse into the Theatre’s rich history. Marbles, old glass bottles and cans as well as a cannon ball and a bullet as well as other items have been found and are being preserved.
While it may not look like much is happening from the outside, we’re hard at work inside! In addition to physical repairs, as we continue to work with our architect, we’re conducting a feasibility study to assess the best path forward, while also ramping up for an important capital campaign.
Please tell your friends and check our calendar below for all upcoming shows.
