Likely, you’ve heard of the Comstock Lode, one of the most famous and rich deposits of silver in the world, discovered in the shadow of Mount Davidson in western Nevada, near Virginia City. But who was Comstock, why does the lode bear his name and what are the stories behind the stories of this intriguing America West phenomenon? What the Expedition discovered was shocking; so much so they wrote a book to capture all their findings in the hopes of correcting history, which was written with lies and deceit to hide the truth and line the pockets of the wealthy and powerful. Oh, and the story leads to Abe Lincoln. The Team will reveal their findings through stories, photos, and film, and recount their 2023 Grosh Brothers Expedition in this evening of intrigue. Come hear why the ‘Comstock’ Lode was misnamed, what spoils it produced and how history buried the truth.
