Chris Cain offers up a soulful stew of Memphis-style electric blues. Influenced by B.B. King, Ray Charles and Albert Collins, Cain’s powerfully deep vocals and jazz-inspired, blues guitar riffs are uniquely his own, while reminiscent of the Greats.
Cain has gone from a newcomer phenomenon bursting onto the Blues scene in 1987 with his now-classic debut, Late Night City Blue, to a legend, inspiration and long-established member of the Blues pantheon.
His 2021 album release, Raisin' Cain, hit the Blues charts at home and around the world, hitting #1 in the USA and Australia, and remaining in the Top 10 for 26 weeks.
Recently signed to the prestigious Alligator Records label, Cain was nominated by the Memphis Blues Music Awards for 2021 Best Contemporary Blues Artist and Best Blues Guitarist.
The Chris Cain Band features Greg Rahn on keyboards (Ray Obiedo, Pete Escovedo, Roger Glenn, Ronnie Montrose), Steve Evans on bass (Etta James, Bo Diddley, Big Mama Thornton), and Sky Garcia on Drums (Mic Gillette, Daniel Castro, Charlie Musselwhite).
